On the evening of October 18, JAMA Staff were invited to participate in the Texas Minority Coalition's (TMC) fourth annual banquet, where over 200 people, including elected officials and ministers from our region participated.
Back in May, on the occasion of Asian Pacific Islanders Heritage Month, TMC leadership visited the JAMA campus and presented a plaque of appreciation. At that time, TMC leaders who were deeply impressed by the short time with Dr. John Kim, invited him to speak at their annual banquet. However, due to Dr. Kim being on the East Coast, we decided to show Dr. Kim's short message on video. At the banquet, JAMA staff was surprised to find out that TMC had prepared an award for Dr. Kim. On behalf of Dr. Kim, Cathy Rabb (Executive Vice President of JAMA) received the award for “a lifetime of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.
