Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I pray that God’s grace, favor, and peace overflow in your life, especially amid these difficult times.
Over the last two years, we have experienced much loss within our families and friends--we have had to say goodbye to many loved ones. No doubt many of you have experienced similar pains.
But we hold on to the promise of God in Isaiah 41:10:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
I pray that you may experience God’s comfort and victory because of His promises.
I write this to give you a brief report on the ministry that happened through our JAMA Global Campus, to thank you for your prayers and support, and to share our hopes and heart as we look forward to God’s plans for us.
Due to COVID-19’s ripple effects, we have faced many struggles and challenges in our JAMA ministries and operations since 2020, especially in the area of finances. However, totally by God’s grace, we have been provided for until now. I know that many of you, despite your difficulties, have supported us with your prayers and offerings, which have allowed us to do our best in the ministry God has called us to do.
You can see below some pictures from our highlights in 2021: Published my new book “Why Now” which details the vision God gave us for building the College. Hosted a large prayer gathering with local churches and Christian organizations on the National Day of Prayer. Served families going through difficult times during the pandemic by hosting a giveaway of donated goods (once a month for 3 months). Interceded together with local friends for our nation every Thursday morning. Held “College Prep: Radiant (CP:R),” a training program for entering college freshmen to help them thrive spiritually, relationally, and academically. Hosted several movie nights with “The Chosen” for our neighbors. Offered an informative weekend marriage seminar for couples. Ministered online through Jesus Health and Healing seminars, Intercessory Prayer Conference, and Restoration of Puritan Faith Revival. Served the GLDI Alumni community through “Camp Refresh” Retreat, online marriage seminars, and virtual reunions for each class. Continued our agricultural and farming efforts, including raising chickens and now bees. Served numerous churches, missions organizations, and other groups through our retreat and conference center. We plan to do many more exciting ministries and projects in the coming year.
Ultimately, our long-term plans encompass all the ministries of JAMA for the awakening and revival of America and all nations, the Lindale Kingdom College, and Daniel & Esther (D&E) Academy (a preparatory high school). The plan is to establish a powerful strategic base to train and build a tsunami-like force of next-generation leaders who may transform America and the nations of the world. They will be equipped with the love of God for the world in their hearts and will take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth for the glory of God and Jesus Christ.
This task is a much bigger challenge than ever. It takes giant faith. We believe that God gave us the JAMA Global Campus for this purpose so we fully trust that God will make it happen as we do our best in obeying and trusting in Him.
To us, it is an impossible mission, but God told us to trust Him and obey, so this is what we intend to do: obey and trust!
Like the image in Ezekiel 37, a valley of dry bones became a great army of God. We want to make JAMA Global Campus into such a base. This is God’s calling, not a man-generated ambitious idea. This is God’s great and mysterious work.
To fulfill this incredible vision, God has, over the years, mobilized a number of precious partners like you who have encouraged and strengthened us through prayer and loving financial support. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support that come from the heart of Christ. We believe your investment into the lives of young people and the coming generations will reap amazing fruits for God’s Kingdom. God has given me, in all my weakness, this enduring passion and has brought me thus far. I have no other choice but to fully trust God’s promises and obey--to stay the course to the end!
Through the sacrificial giving of many partners and churches, God gave us this amazing base at the end of 2016 and since starting renovations in 2017, we were able to continue our ministry in 2018 through the campus, running GLDI (Global Leadership Development Institute, our 40-day leadership training), CP:R (College Prep Radiant), GLF (Global Leadership Forum), Intercessory Prayer Conferences, organizing and hosting National Day of Prayer events, weekly prayer meetings on Thursdays with local friends, and GLDI Kids. But the Covid-19 pandemic forced us to pause our in-person ministry activities from March 2020. We are still feeling the effects of the pandemic in various ways. The plans for the College and other strategic plans were essentially put on hold for two years. But we trust that God will do His work in His time.
As Dr. John Piper said, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.” My wife and I confess that even though we walked through numerous valleys of the shadow of death, God has kept His promise of Matthew 6:33 and allowed us to live life immensely satisfied in Christ.
I would like to gift this verse of Matthew 6:33 to you (which is also Jesus’ gift to us), our partner in ministry: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you as well."
Let us all live seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness first. This will truly change our lives.
As we celebrate this joyful Christmas season and welcome a brand-new year, would you consider being part of this vision by giving an offering before this year comes to an end?
We will continue trusting in and waiting on God to meet all of JAMA’s needs in His way and His time.
May God’s grace, favor, and love overflow in your life! Thank you. We love you.
We wish you a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Your fellow servant in Christ,
John C. Kim
